The Reality of Morality Flowing from God

What is evil? Is it transgression against one of God's commandments? That would be the most commonly given answer. But suppose that one day God commands us to lie for some reason. In that case, that which was formerly evil is now good. Now most would say that God never changes and never crosses Himself. Can you be sure of that? But again, if evil is transgressing a commandment, then evil is completely derived from the commandment. If commandments ever change, then evil changes. Now, do commandments change? Most say no again. And again, can we be sure of that? I speculate that we can never be sure of that, for the distinctions between good and evil flow from God Himself. What He says is evil becomes evil. Good and evil are not objective standards outside the person of God. When God spoke, the universe jumps into existence. Likewise, when God speaks, evil jumps into existence. Without God, evil would not exist. All that is comes from the mind of the Mighty One. Because I can never know for certain that what He has said will come true, all my actions in this world are tinged with faith. But I have no one else to turn to, no back up plan. There is God (who is somewhat unpredictable) and there is nothingness. I have to trust God, for there is no other option. Therefore, will the just live by faith. For every thing done on this side of heaven must be done with faith.
